Marriage is hard. Struggle is normal. But hope is available! Mentors4Couples is like discipleship for your marriage, and this ministry exists for three reasons: 

1. We want to help marriages prevent crises rather than manage them.
2. We want to redefine what culture says about marriage and reinforce what God says about it.
3. We want to fight against the barrier of shame and embarrassment associated with marriage enrichment.

Mentors4Couples combines Christ-centered, biblical marriage principles with applied training that helps to strengthen marriages. Couples desiring marriage discipleship (mentees) are paired with one of our godly and vulnerable, trustworthy mentor couples. Together, you walk through a curriculum to enrich your marriage. Your mentors will help you build the marriage you’ve always wanted through a six-to-nine-month discipleship process.

CURRICULUM

Two Becoming One – This book and workbook has transformed and strengthened thousands of marriages over the past three decades. You and your spouse will discover sources of friction, [and] how to put Christ at the center of your marriage. You’ll also learn about the six reasons marriages fail and how to avoid them.

Grace-Filled Marriage – After completing Two Becoming One, you and your spouse will learn that the missing ingredient in most marriages isn’t love; it’s grace. This practical book by Dr. Tim Kimmel will help you and your spouse have a deeper understanding of the power of grace and will help your marriage not just survive but thrive.

HOW TO QUALIFY AND APPLY

1. Attend Prestonwood Worship Services and a LifeGroup regularly.
2. Complete the online application.
3. Pay the $110 fee (This covers the cost of the assessment and printed curriculum.)
4. Complete the Prepare & Enrich Assessment.
5. Meet with  Minister to Married Adults Johnny Farr (Plano Campus) or Minister to Adults James McKinney (North Campus).

After you’ve completed the five steps above, our team will determine if Mentors4Couples will be the best next step for you. If not, we will refund your money and make other recommendations to help your marriage. If your spouse is unable or unwilling to attend, we advise you to seek individual Christian counseling.
