Why Giving and Generosity?
Your Treasure and Your Heart
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. —Luke 12:34
The heart doesn’t simply represent one’s emotions when referenced in the Bible; it is viewed as the center of one’s reason, will and motivations – the heart was the very core of a person. Jesus draws a direct line between where you store up your treasure and the condition of your heart. Your investments reflect your values. Don’t spend your time accumulating masses of things and storehouses of wealth, but instead, choose generosity in the name of Jesus. When you do that, you invest in something that will not be stolen or feel the effects of decay (Matthew 6:19–21).
PRAY
Help me to discern what matters most. Create in me an enthusiasm for generosity. I want the resources You entrusted me with to make a genuine kingdom impact. I take what I can give and lay it at Your feet that You might multiply its effects for Your glory.
ACT
Memorize Luke 12:34. Recite it to yourself when making purchases this week or setting your budget. Allow God’s Word to inform your spending habits.

We are a dynamic congregation, with people from all over the North Texas region who have come together for a common purpose—to study God’s Word, to worship Him, to do His work, and to reach the world with the Gospel message.
We unapologetically value six core areas in the life of our church. Together, these shared values identify who we are, rally us toward all that we desire to accomplish, and unite us in fellowship.
