Why Giving and Generosity?
Thinking as Jesus Thinks
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. —Philippians 2:3–7
You cannot explain the Gospel without discussing Jesus’ selflessness; His great love for you motivated a series of sacrifices that led to the Cross. In a world desperate for advancement and hardened by self-preservation, the God of the universe willingly emptied Himself – for you. And now you have the great privilege to model your life after His, living each day in a posture of sacrifice for others. Your mind operates like Jesus when you humble yourself to God and think of others before yourself. Sacrificing your resources and comfort is perhaps one of the most powerful parts of your daily witness.
Jesus, thank You for Your love for me. I cannot begin to fathom what You gave so I might find salvation in You. Forgive me of my selfishness in areas of my life; I want to be motivated by what motivates You. I pray my sacrifices for the good of others will point people to You. Amen.
Begin to pray about how the Lord might be prompting you to participate in the PROCLAIM initiative.

We want to help men, women and students recover from emotional, physical, relational and spiritual wounds through the power of Christ. Through classes, small groups and individual discipleship, the Life Recovery Ministry will help people pursue, overtake, and recover a life of peace and purpose.
We are a dynamic congregation, with people from all over the North Texas region who have come together for a common purpose—to study God’s Word, to worship Him, to do His work, and to reach the world with the Gospel message.
We unapologetically value six core areas in the life of our church. Together, these shared values identify who we are, rally us toward all that we desire to accomplish, and unite us in fellowship.
No matter which campus you attend, you’ll find warm smiles to greet you; vibrant, worshipful music to lift your soul; and powerful teaching from God’s Word that will transform your life.
