CHOSEN* connects families seeking to learn more about foster care, adoption, and other means of serving orphans and vulnerable children.
*Christ’s Hope for Orphans: Supporting, Embracing and Nurturing
Awareness
CHOSEN hopes to raise awareness regarding the need for families in our area to serve as foster and adoptive parents to children, both locally and internationally.
Support
CHOSEN provides support for Prestonwood families who have adopted or currently foster children, as well as families who desire to pursue this call by educating them to deal with the unique challenges of foster care and adoption.
Prayer
CHOSEN prays for foster and adoptive families, as well as children who are currently awaiting adoption or are in foster care.
Connecting
CHOSEN hopes to reach out to foster and adoptive families who are not connected to a local church, and through equipping, service, and social opportunities, connect them to the life of Prestonwood.
Currently in North Texas, there are 3,000 children are in foster care. Each day, 170 babies are being saved each day because of the Texas Heartbeat Act recently passed. Unfortunately, many of those mothers and families are not prepared to raise a child.
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
—James 2:27
Are you a current Prestonwood foster family in need of a foster care support team? Please e-mail [email protected].
Support Care Teams provide support and care for foster families physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Prestonwood Baptist Church will connect you with your foster family via e-mail, along with the rest of your support care team. Please contact your foster family within 24 hours of receiving the e-mail, offering at least one tangible way of serving them.
Note: The foster parents may be reluctant to ask for help, so regularly take the initiative to ask them how they’re doing, how you can support and care for them, and how you can pray for them. Coordinate with the other members of your support care team so that no two weeks go by without someone from your team offering help.
If you’d like to support Prestonwood foster families as part of a Support Care Team, please complete this form or e-mail [email protected].

We are a dynamic congregation, with people from all over the North Texas region who have come together for a common purpose—to study God’s Word, to worship Him, to do His work, and to reach the world with the Gospel message.
We unapologetically value six core areas in the life of our church. Together, these shared values identify who we are, rally us toward all that we desire to accomplish, and unite us in fellowship.
