Grades K–2 (completed)
Children will enjoy an amazing four-day camp experience, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. each day at the Plano Campus. Kids can choose the skills they want to learn, completing three skills on Monday and Tuesday, and three new skills on Wednesday and Thursday. They will be a part of a “tribe” (small group) in which they will learn biblical lessons and how to apply them to their lives. Kids will have fun making new friends, competing in rec competitions, and eating popsicles! Parents can drop off as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick up as late as 5:30 p.m. Camp fun begins at 8:30 a.m.!

Children and preteens in grades 3–6 will experience all the fun and activities that they are accustomed to at summer camp, and now we are even more excited to partner with Carolina Creek, which offers swimming, blob, archery, zipline, amazing worship, band, great time with friends, evening parties and much more.

Transportation on charter buses will be provided to and from the Plano and North campuses to Carolina Creek in Huntsville, Texas.

Refund policy: All deposits and monies paid toward summer camp are non-refundable.

Grades K–2 (Connect Day Camp)
Join us for an informational parent meeting where we’ll go through what a week at Connect Camp looks like and answer any questions you may have about sending your kids to camp at Prestonwood!

Camp K-2 Skills Descriptions

  • Introduction to Archery – Learn basic skills and safety as well as fun activities to improve accuracy. (Safety note: Dull tips are used as well as safety lines that campers are not allowed to cross.)
  • Introduction to Basketball – Practice shooting, passing, dribbling, etc. Actual games and skill games will be played.
  • Build It Up – Build things – maybe a catapult or a marshmallow roasting oven – out of household items (such as tape and cardboard).
  • Dance – Learn a new dance each day. (Note: This will be Zumba-type dance.)
  • Epic Eats – Create different foods such as “birthday cake dip” and “pizza rolls.” (Note: This is not recommended for those with gluten allergies)
  • Flag Football – Learn and practice basic football skills.
  • Get Crafty – Create things such as wind chimes, photo frames and birdfeeders out of popsicle sticks, yarn, glue, etc.
  • Get Messy (grade 2 only) – Participate in activities such as water-balloon fights and shaving-cream wars. (Note: Extra clothes and a towel are recommended.)
  • Girls Club (girls only) – Participate in activities such as painting nails and a lemonade party.
  • On the Lawn – Play some favorite backyard games.
  • Kava Only (kindergarten–grade 1) – Participate in team-building exercises such as relay races.
  • Man Cave (boys only) – Learn what it means to love, serve, and protect all people. Create “manwiches” (grilled cheese) and learn a new handshake.
  • Painting – Learn different painting techniques.
  • Science Lab – Learn fun and safe science experiments using household items.
  • Soccer – Learn soccer basics, practice different skills, and play actual games.
  • Tumble – Combine the fun of gymnastics and the spirit of competition to practice basic gym routines in our Olympic Training Center.
  • Under Cover – “Transform” into superheroes with an undercover alias to secretly serve others around camp.

FAQs for Grades 3-6 Camp

What is the student/leader ratio?

The way the cabins are set up at Carolina Creek will always be at least two adults in the bunk bed areas – with the ratio of 1:10. Safety and security is our number one priority.

Who are the leaders at Summer Camp?

The leaders are vetted parents, church members and church staff.  They have been trained and  background checks as well as ministry safe. 

What will my camper do all day?

Your camper will be busy having fun and have an amazing day with a variety of activities and choices. They will have the amazing springs with all kinds of water toys from the blob, water zipline, slide and more. There is a beautiful long zipline, and they will have all kinds of sports such as gaga ball, nine square and much more.  Each evening there will be amazing worship band with Johnny Farr sharing with our 3rd/4th graders and Lance Millsap with our 5th/6th graders. Each day they will have family Bible study with their small group (all girls or guys)  as well as some fun-team building.

How will my camper be transported to camp?

Prestonwood books the best transportation with safety always as the #1 factor.  Your student will be transported in a luxury bus (restroom is provided) to and from camp.  They will leave from their designated campus that they signed up with: Prosper or Plano campus. 

Where is Carolina Creek?

The camp is located in Huntsville, Texas, 208 miles from the Prestonwood Plano Campus.

How can I receive more information?

Please make sure you are part of the parent meeting offered at three different days/times at each campus.

When will registration open and how will I register my child?

Registration will go live February 25 on this web page.

Is the number of summer campers limited?

Yes! We will continue to keep our ratios with all ages of campers and cabin space is limited at Carolina Creek. So, sign up early and have your kid’s friends sign up together. Remember, everyone is guaranteed one friend in their family group

Will the KIDZ Ministry staff still be a part of each camp?

Absolutely! We value these special days and time with our students. What a great privilege to partner together and see all God does through summer camp!
