Why Give to the Proclaim Initiative?
God’s Word Doesn’t Return Void
10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. —Isaiah 55:10–11
God will use His Word to accomplish what He desires for it to accomplish. Like rain and snow on the earth brings growth and life, so, too, will God’s Word as you absorb it. Consider how the Scripture has created life in you and brought vitality to areas of your life that were once dead. Whatever you value, you cannot invest in something more sure-fire than the proclamation of God’s Word. It is powerful and creates eternal life – it will always win.
PRAY
Your Word is powerful and does not return void. Thank You for the power of Your Word to bring about salvation in my life; I pray You will help me to treasure it more each day.
ACT
Share your testimony with someone today. Whether it’s your kids on the way to school or a coworker – share with others, and in doing so, remind yourself, of the life that God’s Word has produced in you.
