Why Give to the Proclaim Initiative?
Your Giving Inspires the Next Generation

25 And when you come to the land that the Lord will give you, as he has promised, you shall keep this service. 26 And when your children say to you, “What do you mean by this service?” 27 you shall say, “It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s Passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses.” And the people bowed their heads and worshiped. —Exodus 12:25–27

God instituted the Passover tradition to remind the Jewish people how He rescued them from the Egyptians. The Lord knew an annual and elaborate ceremony would spark children’s interest and lead to questions. “What’s this all about?” “Why are we sacrificing?” “What’s the point?” These questions provided parents with a valuable time for teaching. The impact of the PROCLAIM initiative isn’t limited to the adult congregation members. The greater your participation, the more excellent the opportunity is to teach your children and grandchildren of God’s faithfulness and favor on the North Campus and your desire to contribute to God’s work.

PRAY

Your name is great, and Your work is mighty. It’s a privilege to be a part of the North Campus and witness Your hand at work. I pray You will give me the wisdom to make the most of this teaching opportunity with the children You’ve placed in my life. Please use the PROCLAIM initiative to help me provide a godly example to the next generation.

ACT

If applicable, be transparent with your children and grandchildren as you participate in PROCLAIM. Use this time to impress upon them the joy that accompanies giving back to the work of God. Your children will remember.
