Prestonwood on Mission
Serving in Romania
At home and around the world, Prestonwood is obeying God’s simple mandate: “Go.” This weekend, a mission team is in Romania, serving the people of Deva with medical care and helping to establish a local church.
Longtime Prestonwood member Janet Ludgar is making her third trip to Romania. Last year she, her husband Edgar and children, Grant and Brenna, went.
“The trip changed my children’s lives and their perspective about what it means to be a Christian young person growing up in the United States,” said Janet, who is the school nurse at the Prestonwood Christian Academy Lower School.
“I am humbled that God uses ordinary people like me for His glory,” she continued. “I have no formal Bible training and I am not eloquent. Yet with all my faults, God uses me to ‘put skin on Jesus’ and show mercy to the Romanians, so they can come to know Him. He uses my gifts and talents as a nurse, so that His Church can be planted in the remote villages of Romania where there is little or no evangelical presence.”
Reaching Guatemala
Several of our Young Marrieds are sharing Christ’s love and helping to serve the medical needs of some of the poorest of the poor in San Raymundo, Guatemala. Please pray that they would lead many to a saving faith in Christ.
