Peggy Ann Trenham
With a passion for children and the Word of God, Peggy
Ann Trenham feels blessed to teach second-grade children
each Sunday, and every year she looks forward to teaching
the youngest children at Vacation Bible School.
She found her love for teaching and ministering
to little ones years ago while attending a different
church. She’d been asked to teach 2-year-olds.
Accustomed to teaching older children, she didn’t
understand why God would place her in a situation
to teach younger ones. It was a life-changing
experience.
At story time each day, a curly-headed girl would
crawl onto Peggy Ann’s lap. One day, while
teaching about servanthood, Peggy Ann demonstrated
Scripture by washing the children’s feet. In the weeks
that followed, the girl’s mother told Peggy Ann how the
little girl often talked about her and the Bible stories she
told. Many times she mentioned her favorite thing—the
feet washing.
Peggy has never again questioned God about “teaching
children the love of the Lord.”
