Rodrick Yarbrough
While blogging from
Israel, Pastor Graham
offered this challenge:
Make sure you are telling
your friends and family how
Jesus changed your life. You
don’t have to have a spectacular, dramatic testimony ...
Just simply and boldly tell your own story.
Rodrick Yarbrough recently told his story while on
a mission trip in England and Romania. Minister
of Missions Mobilization Joshua Rolf recounts that
Michael, a 17-year-old, said he was dealing drugs
to get by. A former drug dealer himself, Rodrick
told Michael of his radical conversion to Christ last
year and how God provided for him as he had been
obedient. Michael liked Rodrick’s cap and shoes.
Rodrick took them off right there at the train
station and gave them to him..
“For Rodrick it was a way to tell Michael ‘God
loves you.’ For Michael it was a sign that God gives
second chances....For me, a picture of the widow’s
mite,” Joshua said. “We prayed with Michael as
he committed to return to the Lord...his younger
buddies watching his example. Rodrick owns very
little...barely pays the bills...supports a wife and
four young kids. Yet he is willing to part with all of
it if it means someone knowing Jesus.”
