A Prestonwood combination of children in grades 5-6 and adults in Married Adult 4 Bible Fellowship classes journeyed to San Antonio at the end of July to help H.I.S. BridgeBuilders there reach out to the community surrounding East Side Fellowship Church.
The group helped in many areas while in San Antonio, including Vacation Bible School and a neighborhood clean sweep. At left is the pastor of East Side Fellowship, in back is Prestonwood Minister of Children Diana Pendley, and front center is Prestonwood Bible Fellowship teacher Steven Yee.
Many residents showed up for the block party and took part in crafts, puppet shows, music performances and a cookout.

As part of the block party, boxes of donated school supplies were set up for neighborhood children to stock up for the school year.
Another highlight of the block party was something like a yard sale, only better—residents could pick up donated articles of clothing and household items for free.
East Side Fellowship dedicated its new computer lab that weekend. Prestonwood volunteers helped prepare the room and set up the computers.
H.I.S. BridgeBuilders volunteers helped lead prayer groups throughout the day of the block party.
