The fall season of PowerLunch kicked off Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the Student Ministry Building with the hundreds in attendance enjoying a delicious meal and an engaging talk about personal branding by Phil Cooke, a working television producer in Hollywood with a Ph.D. in Theology. Phil spoke on how the principles of branding products and organizations can be applied to your own career.
Special guest speaker Phil Cooke, one of America’s leading experts on media, culture issues and the power of change, challenged the audience to give people, not what they need, but what they never dreamed possible.
Teaching Pastor David McKinley welcomed the lunch crowd and later announced that he has accepted a call to become the Senior Pastor of Warren Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga.
After PowerLunch, guest speaker Phil Cooke signed copies of his newest book, Branding Faith, at the Bookstore on Main Street.
E.D. Hill, FOX News host, was our guest speaker Sept. 16 at the second PowerLunch of the new fall season. E.D. is a longtime television journalist who is a frequent fill-in on The O’Reilly Factor.

At PowerLunch on Tuesday, Sept. 23, Pastor Jack Graham recognized Teaching Pastor David McKinley, who was making a final appearance before leaving to assume the Senior Pastor position at Warren Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga. The audience extended its appreciation with warm applause and a standing ovation.
Mike Flynt, fitness trainer and a former collegiate strength and conditioning specialist, told his inspirational story of playing linebacker for an NCAA football team at age 59.
Afterward, Mike signed copies of his book, The Senior: How I Became a 59-Year-Old College Football Linebacker.
Dr. Robert Sloan, President of Houston Baptist University and former President of Baylor University, was the guest speaker at PowerLunch on Sept. 30.
