More than 350 people, many of them Prestonwood members, participated in the fourth annual Clean Sweep in the Bonton community of South Dallas on Saturday, June 14. Volunteers divided into groups and helped beautify yards, clean neighborhood streets, pass out Gospel tracts, and build a Habitat for Humanity home. Clean Sweep included volunteers from Prestonwood, Guaranty Bank, Manhattan Construction, Beck Group, the City of Dallas and H.I.S. BridgeBuilders.
Minister of Global Outreach Mike Fechner welcomed volunteers to the Bonton community. Clean Sweep is one of the many outreach events that stem from the Global Day of Prayer’s 90 Days of Blessing. Other events, led by various churches, are taking place throughout the summer.
Ann Lott, President and CEO of the Dallas Housing Authority, thanked volunteers for their commitment to make a difference in the Bonton community.

Volunteers went throughout the neighborhood and planted flowers, pulled weeds and beautified the yards of residents.
Children and adults alike planted flowerbeds in the front yard of The Lord’s Missionary Baptist Church.
During Clean Sweep, construction began on the Habitat for Humanity home sponsored by Prestonwood. Another five homes, sponsored by various churches and organizations, will be built this summer. Over the past three years, 17 homes have been built in Bonton.
While some shared the love of Christ in Bonton, dozens of other volunteers helped landscape the Victory Life Ministry home in the Fair Park area. The home welcomes anyone requiring assistance with substance abuse and spiritual restoration.
