City Missions

Often, we are so preoccupied with our own "to do's" that the significant needs of broken people go unnoticed and unmet. The thick walls of routine and familiarity screen the physically and spiritually impoverished from our sight.

Jesus put a premium on people and saw helping those in need as a means of pre-evangelism. He never lost sight of the ultimate purpose of redeeming the lost. Jesus saw the value of helping the poor and always meant His service to be a "pointer" toward His redeeming love.

City Missions is a pivotal ministry at Prestonwood that does just that – it points those in need to Christ. Servants of this ministry help touch the spiritual and physical needs of thousands. Opportunities to serve include: H.I.S. BridgeBuilders (inner-city ministry), Apartment Churches, Family Relief (Benevolence, Food Pantry, and donated furniture and vehicles), Literacy Missions, Restorative Justice Ministries, Bus Ministry and the Christmas Store.
