Group Lessons

Group classes offer an opportunity for students to learn the basics of technique and theory in a small group setting. These lessons are less intense and offer an opportunity for students to try out the instrument for a shorter period of time than enrolling in private lessons.

These classes consist of a fixed schedule for which the student pays in advance. Payment is due in full at the first class unless prior arrangements have been made. Because of the nature of a group class environment, we will not be able to issue refunds or reimbursements for missed lessons (excused or unexcused), or for withdrawal. Accordingly, we will not be able to schedule makeup lessons for individuals for any reason (including sickness).

If the teacher is to be absent on any given class day, the class will be notified ahead of time. This class will then be made up at no additional cost to the student. If the school has to close due to weather or church-wide closure event, your class will be made up at no additional charge.

Group lessons will be available when the minimum number of participants sign up to fill the classes. If the class does not fill up, those who are signed up will be notified immediately.

Payment:

$17 per lesson for the duration of the class

  • Payment is due in full at the first class.
  • 8 lessons x $17 = $136.
  • 4 lessons x $17 = $68.
  • The annual registration fee of $50 is due at the time of enrollment.

Beginning Voice Class
Take the mystery out of singing. This class is geared toward the singer who has always wanted to take lessons but wants to learn in a less intense environment. Subjects covered include introductions to singing posture, breathing techniques, breath support, pitch accuracy, sight-reading and ear training.

Intermediate Voice Class
Have you had training and want a refresher course of vocal pedagogy before jumping into lessons? This is the class for you. More experienced singers will find this class intellectually stimulating. Vocal technique is covered in a class environment with a small private recital at the end of the term.

Beginning Guitar Class
Have you always wanted to play the guitar but are not sure where to start? Begin with the basics. You will be grouped with other students based on age and will learn the basics of guitar including tuning, holding the instrument, basic chords and music structure.

Intermediate Guitar Class
Continue to solidify skills acquired in the beginning class. This class is also for students who have had prior training and are ready to begin lessons again, but need a refresher before continuing private instruction.
