August 4-13 (J.B. Shannon)
We have an opportunity to travel to the most troubled part of the world, a war-torn area in which people are broken because of their current circumstances as refugees. These people have lost their homes, their families and hope. These are mayors, doctors and small-business owners, just like you and me. Some have traveled more than 15 months to reach an area where they feel relatively safe.
There are many needs to be met, namely, medical. Serve alongside doctors and dentists as we go to people who have nothing to provide themselves with physical comfort. More importantly, listen to their stories as you begin to share yours. Step into the world of a refugee and serve the least of these alongside other Prestonwood members.
