A different topic will be covered each week of the semester. Topics include: Expectations, Marriage Roles, Finances, Intimacy, Communication and Conflict, and In‐Laws.

Prepare-Enrich Couple Assessment

8. What is the Prepare‐Enrich assessment?
The Prepare‐Enrich assessment is designed to measure the strength and growth areas of your relationship. Don’t worry! This is not a pass/fail compatibility test. It is designed to make you aware of your areas of strength as well as weaker areas in your relationship that need to be addressed before you step into marriage.

9. What other resources are available to me?
You will receive a printed copy of your assessment report at the conclusion of session 6; this is your copy to keep. You will also be given the opportunity to sign up for an optional meeting with a Coach Couple. These are trained mentor couples in our church experienced in marriage and marriage issues who are available to meet with you to further discuss and encourage you in your relationship and walk with Christ.

Twogether in Texas

10. Is BYSID affiliated with Twogether in Texas?
Yes! Upon completion of this eight‐hour premarital course, a couple will receive a Certificate of Completion, which, when presented to the county clerk, allows a discount on the marriage license. You can find out more about Twogether in Texas by visiting twogetherintexas.com.

11. What are the requirements to receive a Certificate of Completion?
In order to receive the certificate, you must fulfill the following three requirements:
• attend no less than six of seven classes

• both complete the Prepare-Enrich assessment

Upon satisfying the above criteria, you will receive your certificate the week following our final session (In-Law luncheon).

At the Plano Campus, Foundations is designed specifically for couples who have just completed BYSID. It includes a six‐month rotating curriculum so you can begin attending any time. The class meets on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in Room A308.
