Student Ministry Building, Plano Campus
Ages 14 and older
Prestonwood Baptist Church has a great passion for people with special needs. For the past three years, we have partnered with The Tim Tebow Foundation to bring Night to Shine, an incredible prom night experience centered on God’s love for people with special needs ages 14 and older, to the Plano area. We are delighted to continue the tradition this year, along with Chi Sigma, a student/parent service organization at Prestonwood Christian Academy.
Every guest of Night to Shine enters this complimentary event on a red carpet complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and “paparazzi.” Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment as they visit hair, makeup and shoe-shining stations, receive corsages and boutonnieres, have fun in a karaoke room and photo booths, and enjoy a catered dinner. The night also offers prom favors for each honored guest, a Respite Room for parents and caretakers, and, of course, dancing! The highlight of the night comes when each Night to Shine guest is crowned as king or queen of the prom!
Join us on February 8, 2019, as Prestonwood is among the more than 500 churches from 50 states and 16 countries welcoming some 90,000 guests and 175,000 volunteers to celebrate, love, and honor people with special needs around the world.
Thank you for interest in registering as a guest for Night to Shine. Online registration is closed. In-person registration will be available the night of the prom at 5:45 p.m., in the Sports and Fitness Center (Prestonwood Plano Campus). Please enter through the decorated entrance located on the west side of the Student Ministry Building.
Thank you for your desire to serve the special needs community. The volunteer registration form is closed.
